Alameda County Probation Renews Evidence-Based Organization Certification

[Johns Creek, GA] Joyfields Institute is proud to announce the renewal of Alameda County Probation Department’s designation as a Certified Evidence-Based Organization (EBO). In doing so the agency is reaffirming its unwavering commitment to best practices, accountability, and excellence in probation services.

This distinguished certification recognizes Alameda County Probation's adherence to evidence-based principles, which emphasize data-driven decision-making, effective interventions, and measurable outcomes. Achieving this milestone reflects the department's dedication to fostering public safety, reducing recidivism, and enhancing the quality of life for the community it serves.

“This recertification reflects our department’s ongoing commitment to evidence-based practices and our mission to serve the community with integrity, accountability, and innovation. It is a testament to the hard work of our staff and their dedication to implementing strategies that truly make a difference in the lives of those we serve.” stated Brian K. Ford, Chief Probation Officer for Alameda County Probation. He continued, “We are proud to remain aligned with national standards and to continue improving outcomes through data-driven, evidence-based and research-informed approaches.”

In his statement, Sobem Nwoko, President, Joyfields Institute said. "Renewing the EBO certification involved a thorough assessment of Alameda County Probation's policies and programs, as outlined by the rigorous standards of the Society for Evidence-Based Professionals (ebpsociety.org).
