To get the most from Motivational Interviewing skills training, participants need ongoing supports without which valuable resources will be wasted on front-line staff in the name of training and capacity building.
In this training series an organization has the opportunity to; (1) lay the foundation by training the entire team on the skills, then (2) train supervisors and managers to supervise and coach their teams using the skills, and finally (3) train in-house training staff on how to train others MI skills. Consequently, staff will get ongoing training and coaching they need. In addition, incoming new staff will be in a position to receive immediate training they need to ramp-up quickly. This proven system will improve investments in MI training, and more importantly, increase staff and clients' success.
